2nd Annual Event Technology Expo
9 - 10 September 2009
Washington DC Convention Center
United States - Washington, DCEvent Technology Expo @ Affordable Meetings is a national exposition and conference addressing all aspects of technology as it relates to tradeshows, conventions, meetings, and special events. The combination of these groups into a total audience of several thousand buyers makes absolute sense, since all are intent upon maintaining and enhancing their respective events and client relationships by using the latest tech tools designed specifically for the events industry.
Two Full days
ETE’s organizers have recognized that you…the decision-making professional responsible for the growth and profitability of your event… require a full two-day expo and conference to get a complete understanding of all of the products and applications that are, or will soon become, vital parts of your tradeshow, convention, meetings, and event production. ETE also addresses the need for all vendors of event technology applications and services to have a dedicated exhibition where they have the both the time and logistics to present their products to an audience of true size, buying power, and intent, that ensures significant return on their investment.Three Buying Audiences
Event Technology Expo will be positioned as a “show with a show” at HSMAI’s Affordable Meetings…long recognized for its outstanding conference program and business-oriented exhibition. It will have a dedicated, yet prominently located area in the main exhibit hall. ETE will be aggressively promoted with one million+ impressions via print ads, direct mail, and all manner of digital communications to a triple audience composed of the nation's leading tradeshow organizers, association and corporate convention and meeting planners, and special event producers.Infinite Possibilities
Event Technology Expo is designed to be as innovative as the tech products on display. Consider participation in ETE as your "two-day showroom and sales office" to the industry at large. Show management is eager to act as your promotional partner in these efforts, whether it's promoting your demo themes and times, or assisting with buyer outreach programs. We view your success as our success and plan to work with you accordingly so that you may fully "Capitolize" on meeting more than two thousand industry-leading professionals from Washington DC and around the nation who will attend Event Technology Expo. -

How Hotel Guests Perceive the Fairness of Differential Room Pricing
View publication »
When customers perceived hotel revenue management practices to be fair, they are more likely to be satisfied with the hotel and are more likely to return to that hotel in the future. In this survey of 815 people, we examined the effects of three factors on the respondents' assessment of the fairness of hotel rate policies. Those three factors were familiarity with the practice, provision of information about the practice, and the brand class of the hotel. Of those three, we found that familiarity with a pricing practice was far and away the most important factor affecting perceived fairness. The implication is that revenue managers should focus their efforts on increasing guests' familiarity with their pricing practices. (PDF Document)
