STR Global reports RevPAR growth across major markets in Spain and Portugal
STR Global, the leading provider of market data to the world's hotel industry, reported double-digit revenue-per-available-room (RevPAR) growth in Lisbon, the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands year-to-November (YTD) 2011 compared to the same time frame in the year prior. The double-digit RevPAR growth resulted mainly from increasing occupancy.

Pegasus Solutions Reports Spain Hotel Revenue Rises More than 10%
The Spanish hotel industry realized double-digit revenue growth in 2011 of +10.5% over 2010, according to data released today by Pegasus Solutions during the International Tourism Trade Fair (FITUR) at stand #8B29. The data also showed combined leisure and corporate bookings for Spanish hotels were up +4.0% over prior year at the end of 2011, with average daily rates (ADR) climbing +4.6%.

This January, ski resorts in Romanian town of Predeal are reporting the cheapest prices Europe-wide for winter sports enthusiasts- £46 per night in a standard double room. London Hotels Charging Up to 600% More This New Year’s Eve
New Year’s Eve celebrators who want to bid 2011 farewell in London better be prepared for an expensive hotel bill. A new survey compiled by CheapHotels.org has revealed that if they haven’t yet secured a hotel room along the River Thames, London guests may end up paying 600% more than usual this December 31.

HotStats European Chain Hotels Market Review - November 2011
Budapest, Istanbul and Paris registered strong increases in profit per room for November led by robust yearon-year growth in achieved average room rate, according to the latest HotStats survey by TRI Hospitality Consulting. Despite a 1.5 percentage point decline in room occupancy, hoteliers in Istanbul were able to successfully record a 17.6% increase in achieved average room rate to €193.97.
