BELLEVUE, Wash. and CHICAGO -- Today at the National Business Travel Association's (NBTA) 38th Annual Convention and Trade Show in Chicago, Ill., Expedia® Corporate Travel, the No. 1 on-demand, full-service travel agency, announced plans to launch Expedia® Corporate Travel Germany this fall. The fully-integrated off- and online business travel service will offer German companies a single solution to meet both travel and financial needs, and will deepen Expedia® Corporate Travel's current global footprint across Europe and North America.

Expedia® Corporate Travel Germany will be headquartered in Munich and will service the country's travelers and travel managers of small to mid-sized German businesses. As a customer of Expedia® Corporate Travel, German companies can take advantage of the agency's on-demand technology platform that drives efficiencies and cost-savings within global corporate travel management programs through high internal adoption of the online booking tool. Expedia® Corporate Travel customers in the U.S. are currently averaging an online adoption rate of 85 percent. The German agency will also service the thousands of current worldwide companies that use Expedia® Corporate Travel and have potential travel and business requirements in Germany.

Expedia® Corporate Travel Germany will also provide a full-service option for German companies by bringing together the agency's proprietary technology and agent-assisted services in a complete, single-source solution. German customers can achieve the same benefits that Expedia® Corporate Travel customers in North America and neighboring European countries are experiencing, including ease-of-use for the online booking tool, flexibility and control of reporting, and robust travel policy management.

Customers of Expedia® Corporate Travel Germany will also be able to access a unique travel inventory and compare a variety of booking prices -- including published rates, web fares and their own corporate negotiated rates -- all in one online search.

Jean-Pierre Remy, the president of Expedia® Corporate Travel Europe, is leading the launch of the new German agency. In addition to his current responsibilities as president, Remy will also manage the product development, marketing, supplier relations, operations and sales efforts of Expedia® Corporate Travel Germany. "The opening of our German office highlights Expedia Corporate Travel's ongoing strategy to unite our global customers on the first, truly integrated worldwide platform," said Remy. "Germany is a great opportunity for Expedia Corporate Travel to strengthen its presence and relationships with the European business travel industry and culture, while also giving our global customers more access and options within Europe."

Expedia® Corporate Travel's recent international growth includes the launch of Expedia® Corporate Travel Canada in January 2006, as well as agency openings in France, the United Kingdom and Belgium.
